Ian Woolley

Mudrut was founded by Ian Woolley, a Lantra-qualified 4x4 driving coach with a thirteen-year history of Land Rover addiction. He is a keen explorer of unbeaten tracks throughout Europe with an affinity for the High Arctic. Ian's truck of choice is a 2008 Defender Utility, but his heart belongs to 'Lara', a 2001 Tomb Raider Edition Defender. He is a keen outdoorsman and would live full time in his tipi if there was room for his collection of Gransfors Brucks Axes.

Ros Woodham

Ros has been a part of the 4x4 scene for more years than she would care to admit. An established freelance photographer and writer, she is a keen off-road driver and is often to be found as part of the support team on longer Mudrut trips. As a fluent Spanish speaker, she is usually Ian's co-driver on the Pyrenees expeditions in her role as interpreter and trip photographer. Ros is a four-time veteran of the (now sadly defunct) Croisière Blanche and, most recently, had her spectacular Northern Lights photography published in LRO magazine.

Tony Symonds

Tony has probably travelled more miles in the Australian Outback than most Australians, usually spending a couple of months each year down under. He is the owner of Lincomb Farm and also a Lantra-qualified coach. His main squeeze is a heavily-prepped Toyota Hilux which distinguished itself as a force to be reckoned with during Mudrut's 2010 Snowline Tour of the Pyrenees. Tony is a keen bush cook, but there is no truth in the rumour that Gordon Ramsay once offered him an obscene sum of money for his 'Outback-Chilli' recipe.
